Dry brush (video coming soon)
Dry brushing is a self care technique that can be added to your daily routine, before bathing when your skin is still dry.
How to: Pressure level and duration are up to you. Brush your bare skin from toe tips and finger tips inward towards your torso, upper neck to torso, and from your torso towards your kidneys (low back). If you know the direction of qi flow, you may follow the channels (inner limbs from tip to torso, outer limbs from torso to tips). Extra brush strokes near, but not in, the armpits; near, but not on, genitals; and along the neck and collar bones will encourage additional lymphatic movement along these clusters of lymph nodes.
Purpose: This increases blood and lymphatic circulation, opens the pores, exfoliates the skin, and feels great. These actions increase nutrient delivery to, and waste removal from, the treated areas.
Caution: If you choose to brush your face, use a softer brush. Take care not to brush roughly on delicate skin. Avoid brushing broken skin.
Item care: Wash and replace your brush at regular intervals for the best results.
I have tried many brushes, here are the ones I prefer:
Medium firmness, with the ability to detach the handle for better storage and travel.

The purpose of adding salts to a bath is to bring mineral and water balance into the body. It also softens skin, relaxes tissues, and reduces the stress response. Additionally, I have found that fingers and toes don't prune as much with a salty bath.
Nature is hard to replicate! Dead sea salts contain more natural minerals than a lab produced bath salt. Use abundantly in warm baths, especially during colder months, or high stress, after exercise, or before a menstrual cycle.

Nasal rinsing is an ancient technique that can make a big difference for allergies, sinus congestion, and acute illnesses. It is FDA approved and can be easily added into a daily routine, or used as needed.
How to:
Boil filtered water for a least 5 minutes and let cool to body temp. Or bring distilled, or filtered water to just under body temp (85-90° F/29-32° C).
Add a measured amount of dry nasal salts to the pot.
Add 1 cup of water and agitate to melt the salts. Optionally, add a few drops of hydrogen peroxide, or nasal wash boost product to the basin.
You have 2 nostrils, and 1 cup, only half will go through each side. While leaning over the sink or tub, bring the spout to your nostril, tilt your head to the side with your mouth open and allow the solution to flow in one nostril and out the other, you may breathe through your open mouth. Empty ½ of the pot through one side, then move the pot to the other nostril, tilt your head the other direction and pour the rest of the solution through.
Once the solution is emptied from the pot, sniff the remaining solution out
Wash the neti pot. You may wish to wash your face after as well.
Cautions:
This is best done in the morning as it is recommended to remain upright for 1 hour after using it for proper drainage.
Use a ceramic pot to reduce plastic wastes and microplastics.
Only use proper measurement of nasal irrigation salts, do not use table salt.
Use correctly purified water to avoid introducing unwanted pathogens.
Use body temperature, or cooler, water; don’t burn your sinuses!
Clean your neti pot after each use. Do not share with others.

Personal care items of our modern world have become inundated with questionable ingredients that challenge our body systems and earth system. It’s beyond time to do better. I have spent years trying different natural products and learning what to live without. I have done a lot of research, here are some of my results.
Skin care
Uncle Harry's:
Blemish balm/foot cream: I absolutely love uncle's Harry's natural products. The blemish balm is excellent for reducing blemishes, can be used as a natural antibiotic for mild first aid needs, helping heal cracked skin from cold winters (check out the foot cream too!), it's safe to use on canker sores and other mild mouth ulcers, and a thin layer in the hair can help detangle fine strands.

Aloe:
Using a natural aloe vera straight from the plant is ideal, but not always practical. I have found this aloe vera to be incredibly wonderful as a daily moisturizer after washing my face, helping to reduce acne, and soothing for sunburns especially when blended with some cucumber and lavender essential oil.
